Fayez Al-Sarraj condemns the attack on Rawda mosque in Sinai.

On Friday, Fayez Al-Sarraj, President of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord, condemned the armed attack on the Rawda mosque 40 kilometers west of the North of Sinai in Egypt. The attack killed more than 230 people and wounded more than 100.

The explosion ripped through the mosque before the gunmen opened fire on the worshipers gathered for their weekly Friday prayers.

It is the deadliest attack of its kind since an Islamist insurgency in the peninsula has stepped up in 2013. Egyptian President Abdul-Fattah El-Sisi vowed to respond with “brute force” after talks with security officials, as reported by BBC.
