UN Plane carrying HOR members denied landing at Tobruk Airport and Aguila Saleh calls for an investigation

Ayman Saif Al-Nasr, a House of Representatives member, told Arraed LG that a United Nations plane carrying 29 HOR members from #Tripoli was prevented from landing at the #Tobruk airport.

A-Nasr stated that the airport refused landing on the basis of security reasons. However, the Director of the Tobruk airport, Hussein Halil, denied preventing the landing of the plane. He added that the flight carrying the HOR members was not amongst the scheduled flights.

In turn, the Media Advisor for the President of the HOR, Fathi Al-Marimi stated that the HOR President, Aguila Saleh, demands that the relevant authorities open an “immediate” investigation into the incident. Al-Marimi added that Saleh called for punishing those responsible who enacted these “wrongful” measures.
