Chairman of the Supreme Council of State for the Joint Dialogue Committee, Musa Faraj, stated that the delegation of the Supreme Council of State refuses to form a government due to “lobby groups”. The government should be formed by the Prime Minister.
On Monday, Faraj stressed the need to form a government capable of meeting challenges, which has a program aligned with the current phase, and that is not subject to extortion.
He also emphasized the necessity for a “fast” adoption of the Government; in order to carry out its work, to prepare for the constitutional amendments, and to prepare for presidential and parliamentary elections – in order to end this transitionary stage.
Faraj added that committees should be formed to discuss ongoing issues. He added that these committees should not be linked to the government; pointing out the fact that many countries, which he did not name, have intervened in the amendment sessions and supported a particular part. Faraj called on these external forces to stop interfering in Libyan affairs.
