#Government #Libya #News – Clashes continue in #Sabratha as humanitarian conditions deteriorate

On Friday, internal sources in #Sabratha confirmed Arraed LG that clashes are continuing in the city and that gunfire is occasionally heard in various directions.
The sources stated that humanitarian and service conditions are bad due to the continued fighting and the closure of most streets and passages.

Similarly, the NGO Association in #Sabratha blamed the official authorities for their delayed response in ending the fighting- which started about two weeks ago. The NGO Association also stressed the registration of war crimes against civilians and the city, including: the use of civilians as human shields, targeting the reconciliation committees, and bombing the historical city.

Yet, the clashes still continue in the center of #Sabratha between the 48th Infantry Battalion and the State Control Unit in #Sabratha. However, reconciliation committees’ efforts to restore peace persist amid accusations of between the conflicting parties.
