European Commission President, Jean-Claude Juncker, has asked EU member states to intensify cooperation with #Libya in the field of migration and solidarity, in order to resettle 40,000 asylum seekers from #Libya and African countries.

During a speech before the European Parliament Juncker stated that the life of migrants on Libyan territory is extremely difficult and that living conditions are deteriorating. He added that they are working with the United Nations to address this situation as it cannot last.
