In a letter addressed to a number of responsible authorities, the mayor of the city of #Tarhuna, Hussein Bin Attia, requested the start of preparations for municipal elections in #Tarhuna. According to the electoral law, elections should be held 60 days before the end of the current council’s term.
Bin Attia stated that the security situation in #Tarhuna does not prevent holding elections on time, and that executive regulations do not allow the extension of the term of the current council. He added that the members of the municipal council of #Tarhuna are eager to start holding elections on time.
