The UN envoy to #Libya, Ghassan Salame, warned of the multiple parallel and competing initiatives undertaken in the Libyan file fragmenting efforts and resources away from resolving the file.

During his meeting with the Tunisian Foreign Minister, Khemaies Jhinaoui, on Tuesday in #Tunisia, Salame confirmed that they are taking practical steps to resolve the crisis in #Libya in order to help prevent the collapse of the remaining state institutions. He added that the crisis in #Libya holds regional and international importance.

Jhinaoui stressed the pivotal role of the United Nations in finding a comprehensive political solution in #Libya, stressing his country’s willingness to provide the necessary capabilities for the mission to perform its tasks in the best conditions.
