On Wednesday, the Council of #Misrata welcomed the release of a number of individuals who were sentenced to the military prison “Al-Sekit”- which is affiliated with the Military Police Department of the #Misrata branch.
In its statement, the Council called upon all cities and tribes to renounce the division and work towards reconciliation.
It was stated that some of the prisoners, which hail from 22 Libyan cities, were released after the pardoning granted by the military prosecutor in #Misrata , coinciding with Eid al-Adha.
