The President of the European Parliament, Antonio Tajani, stated that there is a need for greater investment in Libya in order to stop the migration route across its territory – similarly to what was done in the Balkans.
Tajani added in a press statement via Frontex on friday that the EU’s southern border is facing “very difficult” conditions in #Italy and #Spain, because the problem of migration has become of a magnitude that can not be dealt with at a national level.
