On Wednesday, the President of the Presidential Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, asked Britain to help lift the arms embargo imposed on Libya by the United Nations since 2011.

During the visit of the British Foreign Minister, Boris Johnson, to #Tripoli Al-Sarraj called for the lifting of the arms embargo on the Coast Guard and Border Guards in order to enable them to carry out their duties in combating smuggling and preventing illegal immigration.
