The Commander of the Presidential Guard, Maj. Gen. Najmi Al-Nakou, confirmed that their visit to Algeria is within the scope of international support for the Presidential Guard.
Najmi Al-Nakou said in a statement, on Monday, that their visit to Algeria was as a result of the invitation of the Algerian Ministry of Defense, in which an agreement was reached to develop an integrated program to train members of the Presidential Guard to fight terrorism.
Al-Nakou stated that 650 members of the Presidential Guard will be trained in Algeria, Italy, and France. He further pointed out that they will recruit new groups from various parts of eastern and western Libya to build a basis for unifying the military establishment.
