In a statement released on Friday Civil Society Organizations in #Derna praised the efforts made by various parties to reopen the land access points for the city, adding that they are in contact with international human rights organizations in order to ensure that officials responsible for the siege of Derna and the suffering of the citizens are held accountable.
The organizations commended the harmony present in the city throughout the siege and stressed that dialogue is the most effective way to overcome differences. They called for the revival of initiatives in order to ensure the success of the reconciliation project.
