The Egyptian Foreign Ministry: We will work with the new UN envoy to achieve peace and stability in Libya.

Egypt’s permanent representative to the United Nations, Mohamed Idris, said that his country attaches great importance to peace and stability in Libya, given its deep special relations that bind the two countries.

Idris, during his meeting with the new UN envoy to Libya, Ian Kubis, via video call, in New York, affirmed his country’s full readiness for cooperation and coordination, to make his mission a success, and to achieve peace and stability in Libya, according to the official page of the Egyptian Foreign Ministry.

It is worth noting that a high-level Egyptian delegation, last December, visited Tripoli for the first time since 2014, and discussed with officials of the Government of National Accord security and economic issues.
