The 8th general meeting of 2017 of the Cabinet of Ministers of the Government of National Accord discussed new steps to support decentralization and give municipalities broader powers. The cabinet decided to transfer the authority of the transport offices and the agricultural road projects to the municipal councils. The cabinet also emphasized the need for full coordination between the municipalities and the relevant ministries to find urgent and strategic solutions to the restrictions municipalities face in the service sector.
