On Thursday, the head of the Supreme Council of the State Abdulrahman Asswehly discussed with Italian Foreign Minister Angelino Alfano the siege of #Derna.
Asswehly called for the intensification of international and domestic efforts to end the siege of #Derna, and to alleviate the suffering of the civilian population unconditionally and without delay.
On the other hand, Alfano confirmed Italy’s support for the roadmap announced by UN envoy Ghassan Salame in New York; welcoming the start of negotiations between the committees of the Supreme Council of State and the House of Representatives to amend the Libyan political agreement in #Tunisia in order to end the existing political divide.
