On Thursday, assistant Secretary of State David Thorne stated that Libya’s future should be lead by those who want peace and stability.
During his meeting with President of the Presidential Council ,Fayez Al-Sarraj, Thorne confirmed Washington’s support for the work plan of UN envoy Ghassan Salame.
Al-Sarraj asked the minister to help his country “partially” lift the ban against arming Libya, so that the counterterrorism forces, the presidential guard and the Coast Guard could perform their duties. Al-Sarraj praised #US support for the Libyan forces in liberating the country.
