On Tuesday, EU High Representative for Security and Foreign Policy Federica Mogherini stated that the Libyan situation remains a priority in the EU’s external work.
Mogherini clarified that the EU’s interest in #Libya is not solely for the purposes of immigration control, rather, it has to do with the maintenance of the security of EU countries; and more importantly, for the security and stability of the Libyan people – as reported by Italian news agency Aki.
She added that the EU is funding projects in #Libya in cooperation with municipalities and local authorities to improve health, education and other service sectors.
