On Thursday, #Tripoli Security Directorate confirmed that it stands for the right to peaceful demonstration as dictated by the law, but warned that some parties work to exploit this right.
The Directorate stressed the importance and need for citizens to notify them of demonstrations in advance, in accordance with Libyan legislation. The Directorate also called on the organizing committees of these demonstrations to notify the Directorate of the place and time of the demonstration; in order to ensure that public order is maintained.
