President of the United Nations Human Rights Council, Hassan Estetah and Mansour Al-Hasadi, both members of the Supreme Council of the State, called for urgent action to end the siege on #Derna and to allow for the delivery of basic necessities in order to avoid a humanitarian disaster.

In a letter addressed to the President of the Human Rights Council on Wednesday, the members of the Human Rights Council suggested sending a UN team to the city of #Derna to look into the humanitarian situation in the city; stressing that the siege of civilians is contrary to international law.

In his twitter page, Al-Hasadi stated that the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord is unable to resolve the crisis that the city is experiencing.
