The Euro-Mediterranean Observatory for Human Rights warned of the new steps Italy intends to take towards immigrants coming through Libya.
On Monday, the Observatory stated that such steps were “immoral” and that Italy was trying to evade responsibility in a manner contrary to international law.
Euro-Med stated that the EU’s new policies are aimed at preventing asylum seekers and migrants coming to Europe. The EU is considering coordinating with the Coast Guard to prevent the passage of boats carrying migrants and arresting illegal migrants.
