The US Embassy in Tripoli welcomed the new UN Special Representative to Libya, Ghassan Salame, in a Facebook post and expressed their desire to work closely with him in the near future.
Furthermore, the US embassy confirmed a meeting between the US Ambassador, Fayez #Sarraj and Khalifa #Haftar in Tunisia and Amman. The US Ambassador also met with the Chief of Staff of the Egyptian Armed Forces Mahmoud Al-Hijazi, accompanied by the commander of the Africom, Thomas Waldhauser.
