Al-Sayeh: The two infected with “Omicron” are from Tripoli, and we are working to follow up people they came in contact with.

The head of the National Center for Disease Control said on Wednesday that the center had recorded two cases of the mutated strain of the Coronavirus, “Omicron.”

Al-Sayeh added, in a special statement to Arraed, that the two cases were registered in Tripoli, and that the center is now working to detect those in contact with those infected, so that they can be counted.

Al-Sayeh explained that, according to the examinations of the two cases, it was found that they had been carrying the mutated strain for a while, which predicts their contact with many people during this period.

Haidar indicated that the center is working to take the necessary measures to follow up on the mutated virus in an attempt to curb the outbreak, if any.
