The head of the European Mission to help manage the integrated borders in Libya, Natalia Chia, said that the European Union is ready to facilitate the withdrawal of mercenaries and foreign fighters from Libya.
Chia added, according to the Italian agency Nova, that this is possible through a permanent platform for cooperation between the European Union missions in Libya, Niger, Mali and Mauritania.
And the head of the mission made it clear, in an intervention within the dialogues of the Mediterranean Forum, in Rome that the Military Committee 5 + 5 presented a plan to withdraw mercenaries from Libya, starting with the countries of the coast.
She added that they are trying to do everything they can with regard to disarmament, demobilization and reintegration through the regional coordination of missions in Libya, Mali, Niger and Chad; In response to the request for assistance submitted by “5+5”.
It is worth noting that the 5 + 5 Joint Military Committee visited Turkey to discuss the withdrawal of mercenaries, while the committee seeks to visit Russia in the coming period for the same purpose.
