Suwan: Elections are an escape route from the crisis, and “Parliament” repeat the error of adopting individuals system instead of lists.

The founding member of the Democratic Party Mohamed Suwan said the general elections represent the real exit from the crisis which lasted many years; It will lead to the renewal of legitimacy and give newly elected bodies, a force derived from the people.

Suwan-in a statement to an Arab 21, on Sunday, said the party does not have a specific candidate in the presidential election so far, They will follow the candidate, who poses a vision that is a solution to the crisis, and take their decision to support the him for presidency accordingly, stressing that do not object to any candidate as long as the law has allowed them to run.

The founding member added that any candidate who gets the Libyans’ approval, we will accept him whether we admire him or not, and now that the elections are approaching, all indicators point that they will be held on time, and Libyans are looking forward to them.

Suwan commented on the election law in which the parliament unfortunately repeated the same mistake and suggested a system for the elections allowing parties to participate as individuals without party lists.

Suwan concludes his statement, by saying that in the democratic party, they consider that elections are the season that drives parties and makes political life active, but their continuation in the political process is not associated with the participation of parties in this elections by lists system.
