Al-Koni: Tarhuna has turned into a large mass grave, and there is a cover-up for criminals inside Libya.

Member of the Presidential Council, Mussa Al-Koni, stated that the city of Tarhuna is considered a disaster city after it was turned into a large mass grave.

Al-Koni added in a press statement that the city witnessed a criminal genocide, completely devoid of humanity.
Al-Koni stressed that the perpetrators of these crimes, including those who traveled abroad and those who still inside, enjoy cover-up and protection, noting that the Public Prosecutor sent arrest warrants to Interpol to follow up on fugitives abroad.

Al-Koni pointed out that Libya had never witnessed such heinous terrorist acts in the past, referring to the experiences of Rwanda and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in which wars and conflicts took place, likening the experience of Tarhuna to them.

Al-Koni also pointed to their responsibility towards the mass graves, saying that they will do their best in this file and it will not be neglected as in the past, indicating that a number of recommendations have been agreed upon, the most important of which is seeking the assistance of the international community for assistance in this regard, as well as an agreement with the Ministry of Social Affairs to treat the families of the victims, from the shocks and consequences of these massacres.

The presidential council member stressed the need to provide aid and support from the government to the search teams in the grave yards because of their great role in revealing the facts of those mass graves.
