56 deputies hold state institutions the legal and moral responsibility for Tarhuna’s crimes.

On Thursday, 56 Libyan deputies held the House of Representatives, the Supreme Council of the State, the Presidential Council, the government and judicial institutions, legal and moral responsibility for the mass graves discovered in the city of Tarhuna.

The members of the House of Representatives were surprised by the international silence towards the discovery of mass graves in the city, their failure to condemn them, the pursuing of their perpetrators, the documentation of these crimes, and the assistance of the municipality in dealing with this exceptional case, according to the statement.

The deputies stressed the necessity of bringing the perpetrators before the Libyan judiciary and bringing them before the International Criminal Court in the event that it is not possible for them to appear before the Libyan judiciary.

It is worth noting that the teams of the General Authority for Searching and Identifying the Missing persons, in the last operation, yesterday, Tuesday, recovered 25 bodies from the garbage dump in Tarhuna.
