The Arab Parliament warned of the danger of not completing the Libyan elections on time, which could endanger the stability of the region and open the way for a new phase of violence and conflict.
In a statement issued by it, published on its official website on Saturday, the Parliament affirmed its support for all efforts made to make the presidential and parliamentary elections scheduled for December 24 a success.
The Parliament stressed that holding the elections on time contributes to achieving Libyan national unity, preserving Libyan sovereignty, and supporting national reconciliation efforts, explaining that these elections, which were approved in advance in the Tunis Dialogue in November 2020, are necessary to reunify Libya again, according to the statement.
