The European Union renews its support for the holding of free and fair elections in Libya.

European Council President Charles Michel affirmed the European Union’s support for holding free and fair elections; To achieve stability and peace in Libya.

During his meeting with the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al Manifi, in New York, Michel reiterated the European Union’s commitment to Libya’s stability by helping to build democracy and its institutions, pointing to the contributions of many European Union member states through the United Nations Development Program.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Manifi, is participating in the meetings of the United Nations General Assembly, accompanied by the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Najla Al-Manqoush.
