In a meeting in the Samno region, the components of the Fezzan region demanded the government of national unity to take “real and swift” measures. To end the presence of foreign forces, activate the security services and protect the oil fields through official institutions.
On Saturday, the southern components called for the Ministry of Interior to form security forces that impose security and protect citizens, service facilities, roads and gates in the Fezzan region, and secure the arrival of fuel and cooking gas supplies to the warehouses of Sebha.
The gathering called for unifying the military establishment in the south, expanding the membership of the 5 + 5 military committee by adding 5 soldiers “representing Fezzan,” and completing the file of unifying the military establishment in the south.
The declaration stressed the need to work on the file of national reconciliation, the return of the displaced from Murzuq and the rest of the cities, reparation of harm, and the activation of the Fezzan Development and Reconstruction Fund.
It is worth noting that the Deputy Prime Minister of the National Unity Government, Ramadan Abo Jahnah, confirmed on Saturday that the headquarters of the Office of the Municipal Council of Al-Bawanis would be the seat of the Presidency of the Council of Ministers in the southern region, upon completion of its maintenance.
