Di Maio: In the coming months, Italian companies will start building the coastal road Ras Ajdir-Emsaed.

Italian Foreign Minister “Luigi Di Maio” said that companies from his country will start building the highway linking the Tunisian and Egyptian borders in the coming months, in addition to starting the reconstruction of Benghazi airport.

During the meeting of the foreign ministers of the seven industrialized countries Monday, Di Maio called on the seven major countries to cooperate and support the stability of Libya in general, and to create new opportunities for economic investment and its benefit to the Libyan people and Italian companies.

Di Maio stressed the need to address the migration file with the approach of the summer season, which Italy had received guarantees of cooperation in the flow of migration from Libya, which would allow the management of a historical phenomenon with the Libyan allies.

It is worth noting that Libya and Italy signed a 2008 agreement to build a coastal road from the Tunisian border to the Egyptian border, as part of Libya’s compensation for the period of the Italian occupation.
