World Health Organization: Hospitals do not have enough oxygen and beds, and the death rate in India is close to 200,000.

The World Health Organization warned, Tuesday, of the growing crisis of the Corona virus outbreak in India and the rise in infections; Due to large populations, emergence of highly contagious strains, and a low vaccination rate.

The organization said that hospitals in India do not have enough oxygen and beds and have begun to refrain from receiving the infected, and the death rate in India is approaching 200,000.

The organization stated that people in India flock to hospitals unnecessarily, which has exacerbated the crisis.

In a related context, a spokesperson for the organization, Tariq Yasarevich, said that it provides the necessary equipment and supplies to India, including four thousand oxygen generators that only require an energy source.

Yasarevich explained that less than 15 percent of people infected with the Coronavirus actually need hospitalization, and a smaller percentage need oxygen.

It is reported that India recorded, on Monday, a world record in the number of daily infections with the Corona virus, more than 352 thousand cases, for the fifth consecutive day.
