Al-Falah: The hours of distribution of electrical loads will be equal in the event that the network is connected between the eastern and western regions.

General Director of the General Electricity Company, Ibrahim Al-Falah, confirmed that the hours of distributing loads in the month of Ramadan will not be long, and they will be equal between cities in the event that the network is connected between the eastern and western regions.

Al-Falah added, in statements reported by the official Libya channel on Saturday, that the peak consumption during the holy month will be between 5 and 7 pm, which is the same period during which load hours are expected to be put up.

In a related context, Al-Falah expected that the hours of distributing loads in the summer will reach between 5 and 6 hours, noting that the company’s failure to reconnect the western and eastern regions caused the failure to transfer the 250 megawatts of electricity surplus that the company achieved in the western region to the eastern region, which recorded a deficit of 130 megawatts.

It is worth noting that the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the General Electricity Company, Wiam Al-Abdali, confirmed, last March, work to provide about 1,200 to 1,500 megawatts on the network, which will reduce the number of hours of distributing loads during the summer peak to 5 hours.
