
The Ministry of Interior pledged to prosecute the perpetrators of the mass grave crimes in Tarhuna, and those who committed criminal offenses at home and abroad, for whom arrest warrants were issued by the Public Prosecutor.
The Minister of Interior, Khaled Mazen, during his visit, accompanied by a government delegation headed by Prime Minister Abdul Hamid Dbaiba, confirmed on Saturday that the ministry has taken all legal measures with regard to reports of missing persons and the locations of graves that are likely to have victims, promising to intensify the efforts of the security services and accelerate the process of identifying the missing, and opening the rest of the sites that are expected to have mass graves, according to the ministry’s official page.
Dbaiba had issued a decision to form a ministerial committee headed by the Minister of Interior and the membership of the Minister of Local Government, Minister of Social Affairs Wafaa Abu Bakr Al-Kilani, and the Office of the Attorney General, to handle the files and the requests of the people of Tarhuna.
