Sawan: We have to pressure the government and the responsible authorities to hold the elections on time.

The Chairman of the Justice and Construction Party, Mohammed Sawan, stressed the need to take real steps now, towards holding elections. In order not to find ourselves unable to conduct it next December.

Sawan called – in a dialogue through the “Club House” application – to exert pressure on the government, the Electoral Commission, the supreme council and the House of Representatives and the 75th Committee, to carry out their responsibilities and achieve the elections on the scheduled date.

Sawan explained that the main goal of the party now is to complete the elections, indicating that they had hoped to hold the referendum on the constitution first, “despite its flaws that could be amended in the future.” Nevertheless, they hope that there will be presidential and parliamentary elections.
