Italy: Our goals in Libya are to resume economic activities and stem the flow of migrants.

Italian Foreign Minister Luigi Di Maio said that their common goals in Libya are to resume economic activity there, and to “move it after a recession.”

In statements carried by the Italian agency AKI on Wednesday, Di Maio stressed that cooperation with Libya is to work to stop migration flows, especially with the approaching summer season. This requires cooperation as much as possible to manage this issue.

He will visit “Di Maio” Tripoli Thursday, accompanied by his German counterparts “Heiko Maas” and French “Jean Yves”.
