Libyan circles are awaiting from tomorrow the announcement of a new executive authority to take over the affairs of the country, especially after the UN Support Mission in Libya announced the last steps of the political process that will lead to the announcement of the government, which are the nominees for the positions of the Presidential Council and the government.
In its announcement, the mission revealed 24 candidates for the Presidency Council, most notably Osama Al-Juwaili, Aqeila Saleh, Al-Sharif Al-Wafi, Suleiman Swaiker and Khaled Al-Mishri, while the mission put forward 21 names to take over the prime minister, perhaps the most prominent of them are Fathi Bashaga, Ahmed Maiteiq, Abdulhamid Al-Dabaiba, and Hisham Aboshkaywat.

Bashagha the closest writer Abdulaziz Al-Ghanai said in a statement to Arraed that he was astonished by the number of candidates for the government, but that it remains a good political climate, and is better than commanding with a gun and a tank, and that the bad ones among the candidates are not more than the good ones.
Al-Ghanai expected the current Minister of the Interior, Fathi Bashagha, to win the PM position. In view of the administrative and service value he provided during his work in the ministry, competition remains fierce for the leadership of the Presidential Council between Aqeila Saleh and Alsherif Al Wafi.

For his part, political analyst Al-Senussi Ismail explained in a statement to Arraed that the large number of nominees is due to the facilitation of standards by members of the Political Dialogue Forum, and that it gives a positive precedent for Libyans to reach the civilized level.
Al-Senussi noted that the criteria should focus on practical experience, the standard of achievement, and the standard of international relations, and these may not be available in persons who haven’t held previous positions.
And Ismail believed that the one to whom the criteria are applied to take over the Presidential Council is Al-Shareif Al-Wafi, and Fathi Bashagha, firmly, for the position of Prime Minister.

In the same context, journalist Ibrahim Omar said in a statement to Arraed, that it is not possible to predict the results of the vote that will take place during the Geneva Dialogue sessions scheduled to start from February 1 to February 5, in light of the data revealed by the results of the vote that took place on January 19.
