Tunisia opens investigation into attempted poisoning of President”Isaaid”.

On Thursday, Tunisia opened an investigation into an unknown postal parcel containing suspicious material to Tunisian President Qais Said.

The Tunisian presidency said that the parcel contained the toxic substance ricin – according to Tunisian media agencies.

The presidency stated that an investigation was opened to determine the nature of the parcel and the party that sent it, revealing that the president did not touch the parcel and no negative health effects were recorded on any of the presidential office workers.
