The consultative meeting … a request for the Tunis Dialogue to expedite reaching a consensus … and a loose call for the Central bank Administration to meet without specifying the time.

The final statement of the consultative meeting called by Fayez Al-Sarraj, on Tuesday, called on the members of the political dialogue in Tunis to accelerate the reaching of consensuses that serve the interest of the country and end the institutional division.

The meeting welcomed the holding of a meeting “soon” for the board of directors of the Central Bank of Libya without specifying a time for this meeting, calling on everyone to show a sense of responsibility, to put in place urgent solutions to the problems facing the national economy.

The meeting, held against the background of the oil revenue freeze, included the head of the Supreme Council of the State, the Deputy Speaker of the House of Representatives, two members of the Presidential Council, in addition to the Governor of the Central Bank, the Chairman of the Audit Bureau, the Head of the Monitoring Authority, the Minister of Finance, and the Chairman of the National Oil Corporation.

It is worth noting that the head of the National Oil Corporation, Mustafa Sanallah, announced, on Sunday, the freezing of oil revenues, and not depositing them in the Central Bank until “the clarification of its policies and show transparency and clarity,” according to him.
