The head of the Scientific Advisory Committee to Combat the Coronavirus Pandemic, Khalifa Al-Bakoush, said, on Sunday, that they had already started procedures to obtain 6 thousand vaccines against the Coronavirus in cooperation with the World Health Organization.
Al-Bakoush added a statement to “online” that the vaccine will not be needed by all Libyans, and it will be limited in the first stage to the groups most vulnerable to the virus, for medical and assistant medical teams,the elderly and people with chronic diseases.
Al-Bakoush indicated that if the financial procedures are completed soon, the first batch of the vaccine will be obtained early.
It is worth noting that the Audit Bureau approved, on Saturday, Libya’s participation in an international agreement of understanding, to obtain a Corona vaccination worth more than 9 million dollars.
