Kaawan: What is rumored about the agreement regarding assigning a position to Aqeela Saleh or others is incorrect.

Vice President of the Justice and Construction Party Nizar Kaawan refuted what is rumored about the agreement to assign the Speaker of the Tobruk Parliament, Aqeela Saleh or anyone else, to any portfolio or position, stressing that what happened in the Moroccan Abo zniqa dialogue was a consensus to set the necessary conditions, standards and controls related to the assumption of sovereign positions.

Kaawan stressed – in an exclusive interview with the Libya Al-Ahrar channel, that the geographical balance must be taken into consideration realistically, and to the extent that preserves the unity and sovereignty of Libya, preserves the political path, provides the climate to reach the legislative and presidential elections, and the adoption of the constitution, as he put it.

Kaawan stressed the need to deal with politics realistically, and “discover common spaces to reach a settlement.”

Kaawan clarified that agreements may be concluded that are not completely fair, but the continuation of the war in Libya is the most unjust, destructive and depleting of the Libyan people and their resources.

The delegations of the Supreme Council of State and the House of Representatives of Tobruk agreed, at the beginning of last October, in the Moroccan city of Abo Zniqa, on the criteria that must be taken into account in choosing the occupants of the sovereign positions, in accordance with Article 15 of the Skhirat Agreement.
