On Saturday, 100 journalists including journalists of the Media Center for Operation Volcano of Anger signed a petition rejecting the decisions of the Presidential Council regarding the establishment of the General media Corporation, and assigning Mohamed Baiyo to head it.
The media professionals confirmed, in a statement, their rejection from the beginning of these two decisions, which completely contradict the principles for which men have sacrificed their lives to extract them, and no one has the right to confiscate them, according to the statement.
The media professionals demanded the cancellation of the two decisions, and the move towards restoring and building media institutions from the base to the top, governed by a code of honor, and regulated by advanced laws that guarantee freedom of expression and facilitate the flow of information, so that it is the fourth authority as it is in the world.
