On Friday, the Fezzan Authority expressed its deep satisfaction with the ceasefire agreement reached by the 5 + 5 military committee. Demanding that all political and military parties implement it.
According to a statement published on its official page, the commission appreciated the efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya to support the political process, especially the Libyan Political Dialogue Forum in Tunis, which aims to form a new presidential council and a government of national unity.
In a related context, the Commission called on the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez al-Sarraj, to postpone the date of his resignation until an agreement is reached on the formation of a new Presidential Council, demanding the Libyan people, with their various orientations and political streams, to support the option of building the state and unifying its institutions.
It is worth noting that the UN mission has invited 75 Libyan personalities to attend the political dialogue in Tunisia next November to agree on the formation of a new presidential council and a national unity government.
