Bashagha: Haftar will not pose any threat if his supporters abandon him.

Interior Minister Fathi Bashagha said that Haftar and his militias will not pose any threat if his supporters and backers from foreign countries abandon him.

Bashagha added, in an interview with the British Financial Times, that the ceasefire is fragile and will not continue unless the countries supporting Haftar stop backing him.

Bashagha stressed that there are a number of countries that were gambling on Haftar and began to review their positions, pointing out that there is a change in the Egyptian, and possibly Russian positions.

It is worth noting that the delegation of the Government of National Accord and Haftar militias reached on October 23 the signing of a permanent ceasefire agreement to be followed by the departure of foreign mercenaries within a maximum period of three months.
