Turkish Foreign Ministry: We welcome the dialogue between the Libyan parties and we continue to support the political process.

Turkish Deputy Foreign Minister “Sedat Onal” said that his country welcomes the ongoing dialogue between the Libyan parties, and will continue to support the political process in Libya under the supervision of the United Nations and is determined to find a suitable political solution.

Onal added during the ministerial meeting that was held, Monday, in Berlin, on Libya, that this meeting will help solve the crisis and represent a good opportunity to look forward to international efforts, indicating that what must be done now is to reach a permanent ceasefire and support a comprehensive political process.

Onal stressed that the reconciliation government should have a central position in all these efforts and not to doubt them, stressing the need to link all dialogue efforts with the UN-led process, according to the outcomes of the Berlin conference.

Onal stressed the need to fully lift the oil blockade and bring the oil installations under the control of the Libyan National Oil Corporation, and the importance of disarmament in Sirte and Al Jufra, which is of great importance to achieving a permanent ceasefire in Libya.

It is worth noting that the two delegations of the dialogue in Bo Zniqa confirmed in a statement, on Monday, that progress is being made to reach a historic agreement on sovereign positions, which will be soon in accordance with Article 15 of the Skhirat Agreement.
