Shooting at the demonstrators in Al-Marj and continuing protests in Benghazi and Al-Bayda against poor living conditions.

Demonstrations renewed in the cities of Benghazi and Al-Bayda for the third day in a row, and this time expanded to include the cities of Shahat and Al-Marj, in protest against poor living conditions and power cuts for many hours.

Pictures spread on social media showed a fire at the parallel government headquarters in Benghazi, as the National Safety Authority teams intervened to extinguish it.

In Al-Marj, video clips showed heavy bullets fired over the demonstrators, amid reports that one was killed and two other demonstrators were wounded.

Likewise, in the adjacent cities of Al-Bayda and Shahat, there have been renewed night demonstrations, and the demonstrators burned tires, and chants condemning the poor living conditions in the area.

It is worth noting that the city of Benghazi and all of the eastern region are witnessing power cuts for many hours due to the lack of “diesel” needed to operate the power stations following the halting of oil and gas production by Haftar last January.
