The advisor to Turkish President Yassin Aktay confirmed, on Saturday, that there is communication between Turkey and Egypt regarding the Libyan file, regardless of any political differences between Presidents Erdogan and Alsisi.
Aktay said in a statement to Arabi 21 that the UAE, and perhaps France, want the Egyptian army to fight Turkey, adding that this will not happen, noting that Turkey’s role in Libya is nothing but to establish reform and peace, hoping that Egypt will adopt this approach.
It is worth noting that Turkish President Rejep Tayyip Erdogan confirmed, during his statements, early last August that Turkish intelligence is in contact with Egyptian intelligence, indicating that “the Egyptians have recently requested diplomatic meetings to remove the misunderstanding between Ankara and Cairo. “
