The US Assistant Secretary of State for Near Eastern Affairs, David Schenker, said that there are American efforts to reform the United Nations mission in Libya.
Schenker added that the Turks are standing up to the Russians, and there are Russian mercenaries from the Wagner Group, in addition to the Emiratis and Egyptians in Libya, and there were French as well, according to the Italian news agency “Nova”.
Schenker indicated that he and the US Secretary of State, “Michael Pompeo”, have devoted a long time to the Libyan file, and that he is constantly discussing this matter with his British and French counterparts.
It is worth noting that the United States Embassy in Libya welcomed the unremitting efforts of the United Nations Support Mission in Libya , to resume the comprehensive Libyan political dialogue forum, and all Libyan parties are urged to support this process.
