Statement of the demonstrators against corruption in Misurata: We demand the formation of a committee from the Audit, Monitoring Bureaus and Interior Ministry to achieve our demands.

The demonstrators in the city of Misurata demanded the formation of a committee from the Audit Bureau, the Monitoring Authority and the Ministry of Interior to fight corruption and corrupt people that infiltrated the government, its administration and its institutions.

The demonstrators said in their statement on Sunday that their demands are legitimate, stressing that if they do not acheive them by peaceful means, they will acheive them by force and will continue their movement and sit-in until the committee they demanded to form begins to hold accountable the successive administrations of the General Electricity Company and disclose the names of the owners of the fake letters of credit and contributors to money smuggling and hold the Ministry of Health accountable , and the rampant corruption in it.

The demonstrators, stated that it is necessary not to conduct the handover ceremony between the current and new local municipal councils until the previous councils are held accountable and that all of these demands are legitimate and they will not be satisfied with accountability without retribution.

It is worth noting that many citizens took to the streets in Misurata and the capital, Tripoli, calling for an investigation into administrative corruption and holding all those who participated in it accountable.
