Guterres calls on the Libyan parties to engage in a political process based on the Berlin outputs.

On Saturday, the Secretary-General of the United Nations, António Guterres, called on the Libyan parties to engage constructively in a comprehensive political process based on the outcomes of the Berlin Conference and Security Council Resolution 2510, welcoming the end of the obstruction of oil production.

In the same context, spokesman for “Guterres”, “Stephane Diogarik”, said that the Secretary-General hopes that the “armed forces” of the two sides will respect the calls for an immediate ceasefire and that their implementation will be reviewed immediately by the Joint Military Committee with the assistance of the United Nations.

It is worth noting that the President of the Presidency Council, Fayez Al-Sarraj, and the Speaker of the Tobruk Parliament, Aqeela Saleh, announced in two separate statements, an immediate ceasefire in the country, and an immediate resumption of oil production and export.
