Coast guard rescues 20 migrants east of Melitta.

The General adminstration for the Coast guard rescued 20 illegal immigrants of Arab, African and Asian nationalities after their wooden boat broke down 18 miles east of Mellita.

On Sunday, the administration transferred the migrants to the unit’s headquarters in the city of Zuwara, where it provided them with humanitarian and medical assistance, and took legal measures to hand them over to the immigration shelter center in Zuwara, according to the official page of the Coast guard Administration.

It is worth noting that the General Directorate seized, on Sunday, 55 illegal immigrants of different nationalities who were in a warehouse in Zletin in preparation for the departure to Italy.
